Our New Zealand Adventure Published

 

Adventure Kayak Magazine has published a story and photos from our Yak About Adventure Project at the start of the year. Article was written by Laura and the photos where provided by Freya, Cynthia and Myself. Freya even scored the Cover Shot, though it is not a photo from NZ. I am also proud to say that my photos have featured in every issue of Adventure Kayak this year, I am pretty stoked.

 

Also Published was a photo I took from my Kayak trip down the east coast of the north island of NZ with Dave Briggs.

The New Zealand Roadie is Over Though the Yak About Continues

 

Today I hop back on a plane to NZ, the trip here is over, I say goodbye to my homeland and head for my chosen home of BC Canada. We had an amazing adventure this season, I now have loads of Film and Photo to edit, debt to work off and a smile on my face (not to mention some stress and apprehension, everything comes with its costs), though the Yak About continues, from here it is white water season in BC, I then have a Sea Kayak Trip in Sardinia to run and then it is the summer season in north America and I am bound to be on the Road Again with TRAK Kayaks, promoting their Folding Kayak “The Seeker”. Stay tuned for more adventures and updates on the “short film Series”.

Looking Back on Kayaking the Coast of New Zealand

It is now a year since I, pulled into wellington harbour in New Zealand, and called an end to my attempt at paddling the length of NZ's east coast form the north of the North Island to the South of Stewart Island.

What an amazing trip it was and it feels like a life time since that trip.... so many more adventures have come and gone, yet I look back on the Kayak Down Under NZ expedition as a corner stone of my life's new momentum.
